Sundance Vacations Named the Best Place to Work in Illinois

 

Downers Grove, Illinois (May 20, 2009) Sundance Vacations was recently named as one of the 2009 Best Places to Work in Illinois. The company ranked 17 out of 30 companies across the Illinois area. The announcement was made during the Best Places to Work dinner held at the Danada House in Wheaton, IL on May 19th, 2009. Sundance Vacations was a first time participant in the Illinois program.

 

“We’re honored to place 17th in the Best Places to Work in Illinois program. The anonymous survey results have been shared with division managers. We’re already working to further improve the overall employee experience at Sundance Vacations for next year,” said Sundance Vacations President John Dowd.

 

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements: Have at least 15 employees in Illinois; be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity; be a publicly or privately held business; have a facility in the state of Illinois; and must be in business for one year.

 

The statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Illinois, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. Sundance Vacations-Downers Grove is grateful to be considered for such an award. The awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of The Business Ledger, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Illinois State Council, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, the Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago, the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC) and Best Companies Group.
